The Smith House was built in 1921 as a boarding house for J.Frank and Minnie Smith. For many years, the Inn was the cultural and entertainment center for the surrounding community. Some of the early history of the South Plains evolved on it's premises. The Smith House has always stood as a monument of it's rich and colorful heritage. The Inn has been restored using most of the original furniture and accessories. Then further updated, emphasizing style and comfort.

The Inn is under the ownership of Sue Bentley and Sande Smyth and has entered a new era, without losing any of its charms, dignity and top class service.

Smith House is now serving excellent lunches - Wednesday - Friday, with bookings for other days - American and Australian content - and is noted for the 'disgusting' desserts (disgusting is slang for fantastic!!!).

2008 is a new era for Sue, Sande and the boys, Not only will they celebration 2 years in Smith House, but they have opened it to live Musical Nights and the ever popular Karaoke Nights. Look to the Special Events Calendar to find out about these exciting events. The popular Smith House sponsored Crosbyton JamFest is again to be held on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of June.

Sande & Sue and now offering Smith House for:

• Spiritual Development Workshops - see special events and Spiritual Pathway.
• Small Weddings - Packages on request. Sande is a Marriage Celebrant and can perform the marriage service within Smith House itself, according to the desires of the couple concerned. For information, please contact us and we will send you our information and costs - which will include Marriage Ceremony, decorations, reception, photography and if desired the wedding cake itself.
• Children's Karaoke Birthday Parties - theme parties, fully catered with cake included if desired, musical or non-musical, for further information, contact us and we will send brochure and costings.
• Bridal and Baby Showers - we will work with you on how you wish to decorate and or catering.
• Bridegroom Dinners - fully catered, decorated and music available
• High School Specialty Dinners and functions - fully catered, school color decorations, simple or fancy as required.
